James Cameron’s movie Avatar

In 2009 James Cameron show us one of his best science fiction film ever, call Avatar. Basically the film talks about Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) a marine, who became part of the Avatar Program when his twin died. He discovered that the army wants to destroy the Na’vi’s planet call Pandora.

He is invalid, but hi can be a Na’vi too; actually that’s the Avatar Program, he wants to save them, but his alone, no one wants to help him because in their planet is a kind of a diamond that’s very expensive and the Army wants to sell this diamonds. Well, then almost of the soldiers have a Na’vi character include Sully. The army trains the “avatars” and when their ready, the “avatars” goes to the clanship of the Na’vi. When Sully is at the clanship he fell in love with a Na’vi call Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) She is the daughter of the leader of the Omaticaya ( central clan of the story). The army attacks the wood with robots, helicopters and other army things. They burn the forest and obviously the Na’vi’s have to go away, in the forest are animals like:



•Slingers: They are type of chiken, has four legs like the ones of the horses with long nails, and two legs like a spider, his head is like a dart.

•Direhorse: As its name says it`s like a horse, just like it has 6 legs total and two antennae.

•Mountain Banshee: It’s like a pterodactyl, just that it has 2 more wings, and he had a rat-like head and the skin like a lizard`s.

•Great Leonopteryx: It’s like de Mountain Banshee just that his skin looks like a tiger one, but with rough skin

•Hammerhead Titanothere: As its name says, has a hammer-head and his body like a beetle

•Hexapede: It’s like a deer and has a kind of wings like a peacock but in the ears place.

•Prolemuris: Seens like a monkey, but has 4 legs and a kind of wings like the one of the squirrel

When Jake is at the Na`vi clanship, he is informing to Quarich (Stephen Lang) about the Hometrees, and whats doing the Na`vi`s. Jake also learned how to tame a Mountain Banshee and how to hunter. Jake fell in love with Neytiri and he forgot about the mision Quarich Gave to him. And he wanted to save the tribe.





James Cameron thought the story of Avatar since 1994, because of the dream of his mother. He wrote the first avatar script in 1994, and according to him, he did it in two weeks. In 1996 he announced that when the Titanic filming finished he wanted to do Avatar, but he could`t where he wanted to use synthetic actors or computer-created images.



Avatar was released on Augusth 27 on the USA, and in other countrys like in Colombia it was released on 18 of February, You would see it on 2D or 3D. The movie was nominated to 139 Prices between Oscars, Academy Awards, American Society of cinematographers, Cesar Awards, Golden Globe Awards. Among Others.



The movie and the filmakers won 70 prices, and as I said before nominated to 139 prices.



The Soundtrack was made by James Horner and Leona Lewis sang "I See You".
